Meeting room, Moran Prairie. You can be a Dementia Friend and help create a dementia-friendly community. During this session, learn about dementia, what it’s like to live with dementia, and actions you can take to support people living with dementia in your community. If you are wondering if someone you care about might be showing signs of dementia, this session provides you with helpful information. Community Partners: SHIBA & ALTCEW Statewide Health Insurance Benefits Advisors (SHIBA) provide free, unbiased, and confidential counseling services and are part of the Washington State Office of the Insurance Commissioner. SHIBA is a statewide network of trained volunteers who advocate for and assist consumers with Medicare. Aging & Long Term Care of Eastern Washington (ALTCEW) is the local sponsor of SHIBA and provider of Medicare education. ALTCEW also provides education and support on the topics of dementia and memory loss, fall prevention, and others. Presented by educators from ALTCEW
