About this event
Formed in Seattle during the golden era of the early 2000s PNW indie rock boom, Dear John Letters captured the city’s music scene with their cathartic blend of soaring guitar hooks, intricate dynamic shifts, and deeply personal lyricism. The band was best known during their original run as a high-energy fixture of The Crocodile Cafe stage. Dear John Letters built a formidable catalog across two labels, releasing Rewriting the Wrongs (2001) and Unbroken (2002) via Roam Records, followed by their critically acclaimed 2003 LP Stories of Our Lives on Los Angeles-based Foodchain Records. Driven by massive regional support—spending 22 weeks on the NW Top 20 charts and landing at #12 on KEXP's overall Album of the Year list—Stories of Our Lives broke out nationally, earning heavy rotation on over 200 college radio stations and climbing all the way to #34 on the national CMJ charts. Dear John Letters are excited to bring back the 2000s sound at thier reunion show with Spanish For 100 and Skates! Spanish for 100: "Fugazi tackling the Merle Haggard songbook"- The Dallas Observer
