DC Summer Puzzle Challenge - An MLK Swap & Puzzle Party

DC Public Library and DC Puzzle Swap are teaming up this summer to finish the build on a donated Ravensburger puzzle—first activated at Awesome Con 2026! Almost 23 feet long, time to complete is estimated at 600 hours. Are you ready to accept the challenge? One giant 40,320-piece puzzle. Ten DCPL locations. Three months to complete it. The image features scenes from ten classic Disney films. From June 22 until the end of August, you’re invited to help us finish the build, one scene at a time. Stop by a participating location to pitch in and then join us on August 29 at MLK to assemble! Participating Locations Anacostia - The Lion King Benning - Cinderella Cleveland Park - The Little Mermaid Deanwood - The Jungle Book Georgetown - Beauty and the Beast MLK Library - Fantasia Northeast - Snow White Shepherd Park - Peter Pan Southwest - Dumbo Woodridge - Bambi Puzzle Party @ MLK Library Stop by MLK Library as we celebrate your hard work by bringing all the scenes together for a big puzzle reveal party on Saturday, August 29. Come out, hang out, and swap your jigsaw puzzles with your neighbors. Swapping takes place from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Rules Just be kind! No need to bring a puzzle - the swap is not a one-to-one swap. Leave some, take some, be kind, meet puzzlers, and have fun. No selling. Pro Tip With large piles of puzzles, missing pieces can happen. Bag or tape up those puzzles, and please mark any missing pieces on the box. Registration is not required, but sign up to get an email reminder before the event. Questions?
