DataFest '26
DataFest is a weekend-long Data Hackathon sanctioned by the American Statistical Association. This year's DataFest will begin on April 10 and end on April 12 in the McVey Data Science Building. Undergraduate students will work in teams of 4-5 to find and share meaning in a large, rich, and complex data set. These teams will be supported by an all-star group of "consultants" who will be available to answer general questions and serve as sounding boards for the teams. The Center for Analytics and Data Science will be providing meals, snacks, and (of course) responsible amounts of caffeine to keep the minds of participants sharp and focused. At the close of the competition on Sunday, the Center for Analytics and Data Science will be awarding prizes to the top teams as determined by a panel of judges consisting of industry and academic experts.
