About this event
Join us for the third edition of Dark Beats for Dark Times – a night of music and movement to benefit Cascades Community Placement Services in their quest to find housing for all who need it. Featuring: Synchromystica Some music asks you to dance. This one asks you to cross over. Synchromystica is the ceremonial project of Pacific North-West producer Mr. Moo. Psychedelic bass at ritual tempo, slow enough that the low end stops being rhythm and starts being weather. Live players over the bass. More rite than rave. The name is the method. Synchromysticism: reading the pattern inside the coincidence, taking the signal seriously when it arrives disguised as an accident. First conjured in 2016. Quiet since 2019. Awake again now. An amulet, a slow drum, and a room of pilgrims walking out different than they walked in. DragonByte DragonByte is a DJ and producer from Eugene, Oregon, creating psychedelic, bass-driven sound journeys that blend tribal rhythms, deep dub, and mystical textures since 2020. Influenced by artists like CloZee, Of the Trees, and Apashe, DragonByte’s sets are known for their immersive storytelling and adaptability—each performance is tailored to the energy of the space, sometimes incorporating live instruments such as the prayer flute and jaw harp. He has performed at landmark events like Oregon Country Fair and headlined Voltage Halloween 2024. DragonByte is also the creator and host of Subferno Events, a platform for underground bass culture in the Pacific Northwest. Xaviguth Xaviguth is a DJ and event coordinator from Eugene, Oregon. Known to most as Sasha Violet, she’s the Outreach Director (and co-founder) of Cascades Community Placement Services, a grassroots housing agency which has helped over a hundred vulnerable people find their footing in Lane County since its founding last summer.
