Nicole was initially influenced by her parents. She recalls seeing her father playing blues guitar and her mother singing with the group Little Eva & The Works. With her two brothers, Nick and Kris, she became a member of Trampled Under Foot, which found initial popularity in the Midwest and International recognition throughout the early 2000s through 2015. They released 7 albums together, 2 dvds and made waves being coined , "rdquo" -> The Blues Beatles" in Norway. Danielle embarked on her solo career with Wolf Den (2015), which peaked at #2 on the Billboard Blues charts and amassed 12 million Spotify streams. Cry No More (2018) followed, the record was nominated for a Grammy in the Contemporary Blues category and debuted at number one in the Billboard Blues Charts -- it also boasts over Spotify streams in excess of 13.8 million. The Love You Bleed (2024) reached #1 on Billboard Blues, Amazon and iTunes. Her latest album, Fireflies (2026) was released on August 22nd and has already reached #1 on NCAA Big Blues Chart as well as debuted at #3 on Living Blues and has amassed almost half a million streams. Nicole has been inducted into the Kansas Music Hall of Fame and has been the recipient of Eight Blues Music Awards. She recently did a duet with Dion on the song , "rdquo" -> I Aim To Please" as well as was featured on two songs in the theatrically released movie , "rdquo" -> Which Brings Me To You" Throughout her solo touring, she's played bass extensively for the North Mississippi Allstars, has shared the stage with Tedeschi Trucks Band, Kenny Wayne Shepherd, Phil Lesh, and has opened for Bonnie Raitt and Buddy Guy among other incredible artists.
