CTL LIFT – Active Learning Strategies for All Classrooms Presented by Stacey Cofield, PhD Description: If you have ever wondered how to move beyond the lecture-based classroom, this session is for you. We will explore practical, student-centered approaches that foster critical thinking, problem-solving, and meaningful interaction with course materials. Active learning approaches allow you and your learners to take charge of their journey across all course modalities – from traditional in-person classrooms to fully online or flexible hybrid environments. Join the CTL LIFT series & Lean Into Future Teaching Lunch will be provided (if you are unable to attend at the last minute, please contact the CTL: uabctl@uab.edu) Please note: Offered in partnership with the UAB Graduate School, these workshops are designed exclusively for graduate teaching assistants, or graduate students and postdocs who anticipate a career in positions with teaching responsibilities. Participants who complete eight workshops in the program will receive a LIFT certificate from the Center for Teaching and Learning to demonstrate their engagement with learning about good teaching practice.
