The Columbus Symphony Orchestra presents an evening of timeless masterworks in Beethoven & Brahms, a program that showcases the depth, elegance, and emotional power of the Romantic repertoire. The concert opens with Brahms’ Variations on a Theme of Joseph Haydn, a brilliant display of orchestral color and ingenuity, followed by Beethoven’s majestic Violin Concerto in D Major. Acclaimed violinist Oliver Neubauer joins the orchestra as guest soloist, bringing expressive nuance and technical brilliance to one of the most beloved concertos in the violin canon. The program concludes with Brahms’ Symphony No. 4 in E Minor, a profound and stirring work that stands as one of the composer’s greatest achievements.
