Create your own cyanotype! $36.00 Thursday, September 3rd, 1-2:15pm Cyanotype is a photographic printing process that produces a cyanblue print. Engineers used the process well into the 20th century as a simple and low-cost process to produce copies of drawings, referred to as blueprints. To create images, you place pressed plants, feathers, film negatives or other items on the coated material and expose it to sunlight.The fabric is greenish/ grey when unexposed. The final blue cyan color will not show until fabric has been printed, rinsed and dried. Instructor: Rita Carpenter Schedule: Thursday, September 3rd, 1-2:15pm Cost: $36 per person (2 pieces of cloth 8.5x11”) ( extras can be purchased for $7.50 each ) What to bring: The 100% cotton material will be supplied. Please bring items to use for printing. ** pressed flowers, pine cones, lace, and other items will be available to use for printing. If you have special items you want to try, please bring with you.
