Create Your Own Ceramic Mug

Join local potter Hannah Wheeler at the David M. Hunt Library on Tuesday, November 10th at 2 pm to create your own ceramic mug using hand-built techniques. Throughout this workshop, you will be crafting a hand-built mug, customizing the mug with stamps, and attaching a handle, resulting in a mug that is unique to you! We’ll take care of the glazing and firing process for you. Your finished masterpiece will be ready for pickup 2 weeks after the class. We will reach out to you as soon as your mug is ready for pickup. Registration is required for this class, and limited to 8 participants. Hannah Wheeler is a multimedia artist based in the Berkshires, MA working primarily in functional ceramics made on the pottery wheel. She works with botanical imagery often, and is especially drawn to flowers she finds in her own backyard. Beyond her artwork, she is a farmer and beekeeper, and the motifs she brings into her work reflect her deep appreciation for the natural world and the bounty of mother nature.
