About this event
William Jeanes Community Room. Crazy 8s is recreational, social, and designed to show kids in grades 1-2 that math is all around them. It offers unique, high-energy math activities that appeal to kids of all math abilities. It is not a tutoring program, but it gets kids ready and excited to learn in the classroom. Someday your child will get their driver’s license and zoom out of the driveway while you hang on for dear life. Luckily, in Crazy 8s Race the kids get some thrills – and a lot of math! – with no spills. In this game, kids will drive cars around a racetrack by rolling dice. When they land on multiples of 8, they get to zoom forward – and use factors to calculate their leaps. Registration is required each month.
