William Jeanes Board Room. Crazy 8s is recreational, social, and designed to show kids in grades 1-2 that math is all around them. It offers unique, high-energy math activities that appeal to kids of all math abilities. It is not a tutoring program, but it gets kids ready and excited to learn in the classroom. Let’s face it, most kids don’t like to practice their math facts. Kids will toss a numbered beach ball at each other and hardly notice they are practicing math. Like sneaking broccoli into the hot fudge sundae, just without the broccoli (or the ice cream). Why are kids happier if they know their math facts cold? Because as they learn more advanced skills, they can focus on the cool problems they can solve, instead of stopping to wonder what 5 6 is. Math never needs to be a grind. Give kids their math wings! Registration is required each month.
