In this hands-on workshop, participants will learn the basics of creating a fabric patch using simple hand-sewing and embellishment techniques. We’ll explore how sewing can be a form of creative expression, storytelling, protest, and community connection while designing a patch with a message that matters to you. No previous sewing experience is required. Come ready to make something small, meaningful, and maybe a little rebellious. Sign up required. Adults and teens are welcome! Ages 14+. About the instructor: Regina Dante is the founder of Crafting Resilience, a community-centered initiative that uses sewing and textile arts as tools for connection, self-expression, and mutual aid. Her work focuses on making creative skills accessible while fostering resilience through hands-on learning, storytelling, and repair.
