About this event
In this block-stamping workshop, participants will create a cardinal using a Speedy-Carve block and block-cutting tools, then stamp their designs onto paper to make their own unique winter and holiday cards. The cardinal has become a familiar symbol of the winter season and the holiday season, particularly in Christmas imagery. Because the bird itself is not exclusive to any one holiday, we can use it as a starting point for exploring the winter traditions and celebrations that are meaningful to each of us. Participants will be guided through creating their own unique cardinal design and learning the basics of block stamping. No prior experience is necessary, and all experience levels are welcome. All materials provided. Must be 18 or older to attend. Adult beverages and zero proof drinks are included in registration fee. Questions? Join the O About Amy Bryan Amy Bryan is a New Orleans–based visual artist and teaching artist interested in the relationship between presence and pattern—how individual forms come alive through repetition and structure. My work draws from natural imagery like portraits, birds and flowers, and my workshops translate these ideas into accessible, hands-on experiences. I create calm, process-focused spaces where participants can explore pattern, rhythm and visual storytelling.
