About this event
The workshop will introduce you to a spectrum of glass mosaic techniques and playful design approaches. Participants will learn to cut, score and break glass pieces and creatively adhere pieces to a wood canvas. The grouting process will be demonstrated and participants’ actual pieces will be grouted by the artist and returned a few days later – you just get to do the fun part of building a stunning design. All materials provided. Must be 18 or older to attend. Adult beverages and zero proof drinks are included in registration fee. Questions? She received a BFA in sculpture from the University of North Florida in 2010, MFA in sculpture from Indiana University in 2014 and has been pretending to be a geologist since 2020. Balara currently runs Solid Space Glass Studio, building custom work and teaching stained glass and mosaic classes.
