Corks and Forks is an elevated food and wine weekend designed for guests who appreciate thoughtful pacing, refined hospitality, and wines with a sense of place. The experience brings together guided cellar exploration, curated wine education, and a chef-driven culinary evening centered on precision and pairing. Anchored by The Art of Riesling experience, the weekend invites guests to explore contrast, craftsmanship, and the expressive range of Michigan Riesling. Conversation flows easily, the setting encourages connection, and every detail is designed to linger. Corks and Forks Itinerary Arrival and Welcome (Friday) Guests arrive at the Inn for check-in between 3:00 and 5:00 PM, with time to settle into the weekend. From 5:00 to 6:30 PM, guests are invited to a welcome gathering in the community room featuring wine and light bites, offering an opportunity to connect with fellow guests and members of the winery team. Saturday Exploration and Wine Experience Mornings begin at an unhurried pace with breakfast at the Inn, followed by free time to explore Traverse City at your leisure. At 4:30 PM, the group reconvenes at the winery for The Art of Riesling experience, a guided winery tour and cellar tasting led by one of the winery’s knowledgeable wine hosts. The experience explores the range, structure, and expression of Riesling through site, season, and winemaking philosophy. Five-Course Wine Dinner (Saturday Evening) At 6:00 PM, guests return to the Inn for a five-course, plated dinner created by Chef Keil and served in the private Inn dining room. Courses and wines are introduced throughout the evening, creating an engaging dining experience that encourages conversation and discovery. Departure Morning (Sunday) Guests enjoy a final breakfast at the Inn before departure, concluding the weekend with a deeper connection to the wines, the place, and the people behind the experience.
