About this event
Step back in time and discover the fascinating history of bookbinding, with a special look at the unique traditions of Coptic bookmaking. Coptic binding is a unique form of bookmaking where folded sheets of paper, called signatures, are sewn together in a chain-like pattern. This technique creates books with open spines and pages that stay flat when you open them. In this hands-on workshop, you’ll create your own Coptic-style bound book to take home. No experience or supplies needed, just bring yourself!
