COPTIC BOOK BINDING with Diane Peterson
Join artist Diane Peterson as she teaches participants the basics and beauty of custom coptic book binding. This binding method dates back to ancient practices from Egypt and Northern Africa and has held up in modern day as a great way to create journals, sketch books, art books and/or any book that needs to be durable, sturdy and lie perfectly flat. $75 Workshop fee includes a book binding kit for each participant as well as a book to take home. She came upon bookbinding by taking a class in Paris, France in 2018. “I am now at a point in this craft that I would like to teach others.” Diane is also the Coordinator of the monthly Art Hive at the Kenai Art Center.
