About this event
Estes Valley Community Center. Cooking and Culture invites tweens and teens to travel the world through food. Each session, participants will learn to prepare a dish from a different country while exploring the traditions, history, and cultural significance behind the cuisine. From popular street foods to family recipes, every program offers a new opportunity to expand culinary skills and discover the diverse flavors that connect people around the globe. Whether you're an experienced cook or trying something new for the first time, Cooking and Culture is a fun, hands-on way to build confidence in the kitchen, learn about different cultures, and enjoy delicious food together. Come hungry for both great food and new experiences. This month we will be exploring Mexico along with its history of tacos. What is a soft shell taco? How do you make a tortilla? Is it possible to eat a taco without making a mess? Spoiler! Probably not, but that's part of the fun! Participants must be between the ages of 10 and 18.
