@ This concert is funded and produced by Wicker Park Advisory Council and is part of the Chicago Park District’s Night Out in the Parks. Now somewhere in the dank swamplands of New Orleans, there arose a noxious gas that wafted upon the southern breeze. Along its way, it picked up notes of indigenous music, smoke of the herbs of the earth, and various interesting energies emitted from the natives it passed. The now-mighty cloud scattered and settled in early moons of the year aught 14 among the lands of Chicago. Its magical powers were absorbed by some unsuspecting characters. Fortified by this refreshing breath of foul air, these mutant beings transformed into the N’Awlin’s trad jazz group….
