Community Science Data Celebration with Mohonk Preserve

Steinberg Reading Room, Elting Memorial Library. Join us in the Steinberg Room on Friday, October 2nd at 5:30 PM for a celebration of community science with Mohonk Preserve. Register to get an email reminder the day before the program. Registration is encouraged and saves you a spot. "Community science is an approach to research that welcomes anyone regardless of their experience level, to participate in hands-on data collection and ecological monitoring. This year, more than 75 community volunteers contributed to three Mohonk Preserve community science programs - Phenology, StreamWatch and Forest Guardians - where they participated in tracking seasonal changes, monitoring water quality, and managing invasive species. Join us to learn about the efforts of each volunteer group, explore the data collected throughout the season, and celebrate the impact of community-powered science at this end-of-season presentation!
