About this event
Appalachian Singers to Present Community Christmas Concert The First Baptist Church of Bryson City and the United Methodist Church of Robbinsville are joining together this Christmas season to present a special community Christmas concert on Sunday, December 6, 2026 at 6:00 p.m. at the Stecoah Valley Center. The combined choir, calling themselves The Appalachian Singers, will bring together approximately 40 voices under the direction of John Tagliarini and Anna Ginn. The program will feature familiar and beloved Christmas pieces chosen to bring out the joy, warmth, and special spirit of the Christmas season. Community members are warmly invited to join the singers. It is not too late to participate! Rehearsals are held each Wednesday evening at 6:30 p.m. at the United Methodist Church in Robbinsville and at 7:30 p.m. at First Baptist Church in Bryson City. One especially memorable part of the evening will be the planned use of the 100-year-old piano at the Stecoah Valley Center, adding a unique touch of history and tradition to the Christmas celebration. Following the concert, everyone is invited to stay for food and refreshments and fellowship with the singers and community. A dress rehearsal will be held on Saturday, December 5, at 3:30 p.m. at the Stecoah Valley Center. Come sing with us, or simply come and enjoy an evening of beautiful Christmas music, fellowship, and Appalachian community spirit. Everyone is welcome! This event is free and open to the public.
