About this event

Inspired by the Griffin Museum of Photography’s exhibition Common Time: American Musicality, this concert series collaboration with Winchester Community Music School brings the American Musicality story to life through live performance. We invite you to experience this four-part series alongside the exhibition, to see the images, hear the sounds, and celebrate the music that continues to shape our collective cultural experience. Join us on November 10 for the first concert of the series which features a trio of WCMS faculty members—Molly Tucker, violin; Simone Cartales, viola; and Pamela Ambrose, cello—who will perform modern classical and bluegrass pieces for string trio by American composers. Featured works will include the Appalachia Waltz by Mark O’Connor; Movement for String Trio by Coleridge-Taylor Perkinson; and much more. Admission: $10 general public; $5 Griffin members and WCMS students. Held at the Griffin Museum, 67 Shore Road, Winchester; www.griffinmuseum.org.
