January 22–31 About the Show In the wake of the September 11 attacks, 38 planes carrying nearly 7,000 passengers were unexpectedly diverted to the small town of Gander, Newfoundland. As frightened travelers from around the world suddenly found themselves stranded, the people of Gander opened their homes, their schools and their hearts to strangers in need. Based on the remarkable true story, Come From Away is a powerful and uplifting musical about compassion, resilience and the extraordinary kindness that can emerge in the most difficult moments.
