Colored Pencil Workshop with Wanda Taylor Wednesday, October 7 | 10:00 AM–4:00 PM Join Wanda Taylor for a full-day colored pencil workshop featuring a dramatic candlelit still life. A still life setup will be provided for students to photograph and use as their reference, or you are welcome to bring your own objects to create a personalized arrangement. Choose any theme you like—from a spooky Halloween scene to a cheerful Christmas still life you can complete in time for the holidays. Wanda will provide step-by-step instruction covering composition, layering, blending, complementary color, texture, and developing your personal style. Whether you’re a beginner or an experienced artist, this workshop is a wonderful opportunity to build your skills in a relaxed, creative environment. Supply List: • Colored pencil sketchbooks are great for beginners, but you will be happier with a heavy drawing paper like Stathmore 400 or smooth watercolor/mixed media paper. Our favorite papers to work with are Clairefontaine Pastelmat or Canson Mi-Teintes Velvet. • Artist Grade Colored Pencils: Wanda’s favorite affordable brand are Faber-Castell Polychromos. If she could only use one brand it would be Derwent Lightfast. • Eraser. • Pencil sharpener. $110.00 per person, lunch included. This class is nearly full.
