Cockrell Butterfly Center

On Saturday, July 11, 2026, 9 am, join the Houston Sierra Club for an outing to Hermann Park and the Houston Museum of Natural Science’s Cockrell Butterfly Center. We’ll meet in front of the Cherie Flores Pavillion, 1500 Hermann Dr. (77004), where you can park, at 9 am. We’ll take a short walk to McGovern Lake and the reflection pond before we arrive at the Museum of Natural Science, 5555 Hermann Park Dr. (77030), get tickets, and visit the Cockrell Butterfly Center at 10 am. Cost for the butterfly center is $15 or $12 if you’re a senior. Be on time so we can go on our walk and get to the Museum before the crowds. You can purchase tickets online. After our visit to the butterfly center, we’ll go to a nearby restaurant for lunch. The link below has the Sierra Club participant sign-in agreement (liability waiver). Please read this before the outing so you know what it says. We’ll sign-in at the museum and proceed with the outing. By going on this outing, we’ll potentially be with individuals who are vaccinated/unvaccinated. It’s each person’s choice to participate in this outing. Bring water and your camera.
