Doors 6:30pm | Show 7pm | Advance $15 / Day of Show $18 + Dice Fees | 16+ A night of gritty performance punk and haunting electronic opera featuring Holy Sun Opera House, OBJECT AS SUBJECT and Carolyn Pennypacker Riggs. Holy Sun Opera House creates emotionally engaging and haunting symphonic music embellished by electronics, heavy drums and synthesizers. Led by soprano and drummer Krissy Barker with composer dl Salo, the group features a revolving cast of collaborators, singers and performers. They have been described as “Opera Cult” and as one who would play at the Roadhouse in Twin Peaks. OBJECT AS SUBJECT is a shapeshifting, autobiographical exploration by composer Paris Hurley. Helmed by her keening, versatile vocals and singular sense of texture, the project spans terrain from gritty ceremonial post-punk and performance art to the sacred and cinematic, utilizing pulsing drums, dark synths, and lush string arrangements. At its core, the project relentlessly questions the edges of objecthood and obligation as a woman. For fans of Chelsea Wolfe, Gazelle Twin, and Fever Ray. OBJECT AS SUBJECT has released two albums, PERMISSION (2018) and HERETIC (2023), with her third slated for release in 2027. Paris scored The Chronology of Water (2025) by Kristen Stewart (original soundtrack forthcoming on WaxWork Records, 2026) and contributed to Clint Mansell’s score for Love Lies Bleeding (2024). Carolyn Pennypacker Riggs is a composer working in site-responsive performance, installation, recorded sound, and object-making. Her work has been presented by the LA Phil; Getty Center; ICA, LA; the Broad; MoCA; Hammer Museum; High Desert Test Sites (Joshua Tree); and featured in Artforum.com, Frieze.com, X-TRA, New York Times Magazine and recently The New York Times.
