Ana Zangroniz, Florida Sea Grant Agent with UF/IFAS Extension in Miami-Dade County, will discuss her efforts to protect marine environments by connecting science and promoting environmental stewardship. She will highlight her collaboration with Biscayne National Park to locate and remove abandoned fishing traps, a project that reduces impacts on Miami-Dade County’s marine life and fragile habitats.
