Leaning into a rawer, more intimate sound, the album explores themes of burnout, healing, wandering spirits, deeper love, and the quiet courage that change demands. “Before The Dawn brings the dark to light,” Hoyser reflects. “It was a lesson in trusting myself musically and personally, fulfilling my need for change.” Produced by Zarni DeVette and co-written largely with her longtime collaborator and fiancé Ryan Hurley, the record blends simplicity and intimacy, with Hurley playing every guitar part to shape a cohesive sonic world around Hoyser’s storytelling.
