Price’s Dances in the Canebrakes features lively rhythms and folk-inspired melodies rooted in Southern traditions. Nolan Stolz’s Suite for Route 66 captures the playful spirit and nostalgia of the legendary highway. Bassoonist Richard Ramey performs in Jerod Impichchaachaaha’ Tate’s Ghost of the White Deer, a concerto rooted in Native American tradition. Grofé’s cinematic Grand Canyon Suite paints an orchestral portrait of the American Southwest. Together, these works celebrate the enduring legacy of Route 66 as it marks its 100th anniversary.
