About this event
Come hear Lakeland Public Library's own Michael Spicer perform music for solo clarinet. Featuring pieces and movements from Olivier Messaien, Paquito D'Rivera, Paul Harvey, and Astor Piazzolla. Michael Spicer is a Library Associate at Lakeland Public Library and performs with the 312th Army Band in Lawrence, KS. Before working at the library, he earned his Masters of Music in Clarinet Performance from Florida State University, taught clarinet at MidAmerica Nazarene University and lead middle school and high school clarinet clinics in the Kansas City area. Michael has performed at the Cortona Sessions for New Music, Bay View Music Festival, 2019 Regional North American Saxophone Alliance, and with the Kansas City Chamber Orchestra. No registration required. All ages welcome.
