Circus Evo: Solstice

About this event

Solstice is a contemporary circus spectacle that blends acrobatics, dance, physical theatre, original music, and immersive design into a visually striking live performance. Featuring a cast of elite performers from across the United States, the production transforms the stage into a winter-inspired landscape where movement, light, and storytelling converge. Through a series of dreamlike vignettes, Solstice explores themes of wonder, connection, and transformation. Gravity-defying aerial work, precision acrobatics, evocative lighting, and dynamic staging create a richly layered theatrical experience that extends beyond traditional circus arts. Snowfall drifts overhead, shifting light shapes each scene, and original music underscores the production’s cinematic atmosphere. Created for audiences of all ages, Solstice showcases the extraordinary physical artistry of contemporary circus while embracing the narrative and emotional depth of theatre. The result is a captivating performance that celebrates imagination, creativity, and the enduring allure of the winter season. “Solstice was a magical escape from the mundane, and a beautiful reminder to dare bigger and never to allow the light of imagination to be extinguished.” – Cultural Voice of North Carolina
