Christmas Candlelight Service

As hundreds of candles illuminate Weber Chapel, more than 1,500 students, faculty, staff, alumni, families and community members join together to sing Silent Night. This moving moment caps Christmas Candlelight Service, one of Susquehanna University’s most cherished holiday traditions, now in its 60th year. The service celebrates the season with traditional readings, prayers and music featuring student performances from the University Choir, University Chorale, University Wind Ensemble, Chamber Singers, Handbell Choir and Brass Quintet. Donations of canned goods and other nonperishables will be accepted at the door to benefit our local community. Can’t make it in person? Experience Christmas Candlelight Service live on Susquehanna’s radio station, WQSU 88.9 FM. A recording of the performance will be shown on WVIA.
