CHAMPION

About this event

Emily Champion is a Rochester, NY-based musician, songwriter, composer, performer, and educator whose musical world spans jazz, blues, rock, soul, Latin, and everything in between. A lifelong multi-instrumentalist, Emily began writing songs as a child and started performing professionally on trumpet at thirteen. Emily’s musical life has taken her from Rochester to New York City and Austin, Texas, with stops everywhere from jazz jams and theater pits to touring in an RV across the country. She brings that same sense of adventure to everything she does: writing, performing, teaching, and collaborating. Today, she leads her original band, CHAMPION, performing her music on piano and vocals, while also performing with a wide range of Rochester-area musicians and ensembles.
