About this event

Do you want the benefits of yoga but struggle to get on and off the floor? Dealing with injury, pain or illness that limits movement and range of motion? You can still experience all the benefits of yoga in this supported chair class. Classes will include guided meditation, breathing techniques, balance, and poses suitable for every body type. The option to stand will be available during class and seated modifications will be demonstrated as needed. An optional additional 15 minutes of chanting and meditation will offered at the end of class for those who’d like to explore facets of yoga beyond asana. Please register ahead of time at https://uucav.breezechms.com/form/yogawaiver and fill out a participation waiver prior to class. Please bring your own mats and blocks if you have them, a few will be available for use but our current supplies are limited. This is a free community class, donations are always welcome. About the instructor: Hannah has been practicing yoga for 15 years and graduated from a 200 hour yoga teacher training program in May 2026. She has long-held interests and practices in spirituality, mindfulness, and meditation. Her background in healthcare provides a foundation for helping students connect with their bodies through movement. She enjoys teaching all levels of classes, experimenting with movement patterns, and breaking down poses in ways that help students build strength, both physically and mentally. Aside from yoga, Hannah enjoys spending time outdoors, dancing, climbing, and snuggling with her three cats. She is excited to share her new teaching skills with the wider community!
