About this event
OPL's Central Library offers a unique opportunity for patrons of all ages to explore our iconic space alongside our knowledgeable volunteer docents. These engaging, walk-and-talk sessions engage the senses and build visual literacy skills as you discover the history, architecture, and hidden details that make our library a community cornerstone. Public tours are held every Tuesday and Thursday at 2:00 p.m. Each session provides a welcoming atmosphere for first-time visitors and longtime community members alike to ask questions, share insights, and connect with the space in a whole new way. To maintain a high-quality, safe, and conversational environment for all attendees, group sizes are strictly limited to 10 participants per tour. Due to high demand for tours and limited staff availability, adult groups larger than 10 must submit a Tour Request Form. This event is completely free for all ages. Advanced registration is required. All Omaha Public Library locations are wheelchair accessible. Need sign language interpretation or other accessibility assistance for this event? Please email Nancy Novotny at NNovotny@omahalibrary.org to request accommodation. Requests must be made at least five business days before the activity or event.
