About this event

Captain’s Crew feat. Russell Clarke aka “The Captain” (Sax), Ward Buckheister (Trombone / Guitar), Ryan Whitney (Drums), Matt Thompson (Bass) Thursday, October 1st, 2026 Charleston Pour House | Deck Stage 5:00pm Doors / 6:00pm Show 2 x sets $10 at the door Captain’s Crew “Captains Crew” is a band of hearty Charleston local musicians on a course for musical satisfaction. The crew is pulled together by saxophonist and singer Russell Clarke AKA “The Captain”. No he is not a nautical captain but rather a captain of good times. Will there be lots of sax playing in songs that don’t traditionally have saxophone? You know it! We are gonna play a little of whatever we want and stick sax where it don’t belong! The crew may change but the voyage is the same. A voyage to musical satisfaction that we hope you hop on board for. The crew for this show will be some familiar faces. On bass none other than the magic man himself Matt Thompson. Thompson can be found all over the Charleston scene holding it down. A fellow member of Sol Driven Train and the Captains confidant Matt Thompson brings a starboard Cummins Diesel to the rhythm section. On the port side Ryan Whitney will be firing up his drums and bringing the rock steady groove to the voyage. Ryan can be found on stage and in the studio laying it down all around the Charleston scene as well. On the main sail and navigator,…
