Join us for the Gloucester Schooner Festival Paint Out on Sunday, September 6, 2026, and capture the beauty of one of Cape Ann’s most iconic events. From majestic schooners and colorful maritime flags to blooming dahlias, the sparkling ocean, historic waterfront, and bustling festival atmosphere, inspiration will be everywhere. Artists will paint throughout the morning, then compete for awards during the judging. Best of all, participating artists are welcome to offer their paintings for sale after judging. Not an artist? Come watch the creativity unfold! Stroll the boulevard (On the boulevard in Gloucester, MA, oceanside, at the intersection of Western Ave and Rt 133 near the Cut Bridge), meet talented painters as they work, admire finished artwork, shop directly from local artists, and cheer on the award winners when they’re announced at 1:00 PM! Whether you’re picking up a paintbrush or simply enjoying the festival, we hope you’ll join us for a day celebrating art, Gloucester, and the beauty of Cape Ann.
