(CANDLE)LIT Brahms Requiem | Elm Park United Methodist Church in Scranton Thursday, November 12, 2026 | 7:00 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. Experience (CANDLE)LIT Brahms Requiem, presented by the Northeastern Pennsylvania Philharmonic, at Elm Park United Methodist Church in Scranton on Thursday, November 12, 2026, from 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Under the direction of Music Director Mélisse Brunet, this candlelit performance showcases Johannes Brahms’ A German Requiem in the inspiring setting of one of the region’s historic churches. The concert features returning guest artists soprano Jessica Leigh, baritone Sunghoon Han and the Marywood University Concert Choir, joining the NEPA Philharmonic for an evening of powerful choral and orchestral music. Brahms’ beloved masterpiece explores themes of mourning, hope and the beauty of life through its deeply humanistic score. Doors open at 6:00 p.m. The performance runs approximately 70 to 80 minutes without an intermission. Advance tickets are $29 or $53 for adults, depending on seating, and $16 for students with valid ID. Day-of-show tickets are $35 or $60 for adults and $20 for students.
