CAD Workshop & Robotics for Kids

Greenhouse Community Room. Design, build, and innovate in this hands-on CAD (Computer-Aided Design) workshop! Learn how engineers use 3D modeling to design real-world objects, solve problems, and bring ideas to life. Explore the basics of CAD using Onshape, work with real robot designs, try fun hands-on activities, and even get a chance to drive a robot! The workshop is led by Ducks FTC Team 30473, a student-led competitive robotics team. This event is designed for kids in 5th-8th grade (ages 10–14). There is no registration, program is first-come, first-served. Library staff may take photos, videos, or audio recordings at our events. Please tell us if you do not wish to be photographed, video-recorded, or audio-recorded. We will always respect your requests! An ASL (American Sign Language) interpreter or closed captioning can be provided for this program if requested at least seven (7) business days in advance.
