Facilitated breathwork and meditation guide you into a deep state of presence and awareness. Feel the energy start to really flow as we transition into ecstatic dance fueled by electronic dance music (EDM) and a killer sound system. Each session will feature one of our celebrated local EDM DJs. Drinking raw cacao, the primary ingredient of chocolate, facilitates natural altered states of consciousness. It is a good introduction to shamanic plant medicines and is considered appropriate regardless of other sobriety choices (after all, it’s chocolate!). It’s most potent on an empty stomach, so we recommend eating a small meal two hours or more before the event. We will close the ceremony with small snacks to help ground the energy and facilitate community sharing. Betsi draws on 9+ years of working with cacao as medicine to craft a ceremony that moves through the pulses of release, returning to self, connection with community, oneness with life, and celebration.
