About this event
Join Valley Forge Audubon Society for a guided **butterfly walk** at the Brandywine Conservancy's Waterloo Mills Preserve, where the meadows come alive with the color and movement of these beautiful and delicate winged creatures. We’re excited to be hosted by the preserve's natural resource manager, Kevin Fryberger, who will lead us through the wildflower fields while sharing his deep knowledge of the butterflies and native plants that thrive there. From swallowtails gliding over the grasses to tiny skippers tucked among the blooms, this outing offers a chance to slow down, observe, and appreciate the vibrant pollinators that depend upon this preserved landscape. The historic 170-acre Waterloo Mills property is normally open only to members of the Brandywine Conservancy or by special permission such as for this event. Our outing will be on earthen trails and will last approximately 2 hours. Nature explorers of all ages are welcome, including children who are accompanied by an adult. Bring your binoculars if you have them and a camera if you wish.
