Butter Dish in a Day with Juliann Roush

Please call the studio to be placed on our waitlist. 734-662-4914 In this workshop, you will be guided by nationally known ceramicist Juliann Roush, who works with slab-building techniques and an emphasis on surface design. This hands-on workshop will explore slab construction, surface design, aluminum wire stamps, and high-temperature wire techniques. Participants will create a stamped, slab-built butter dish while learning to design and make their own custom aluminum wire stamps. We’ll also explore creative ways to incorporate high-temperature wire into ceramic work. The workshop includes using satin matte glazes, with an opportunity to experiment with glaze application on a provided stamped bisque tile. The day will include demonstrations, hands-on studio time, and individual guidance throughout the workshop All levels of experience are welcome — some hand-building experience is recommended. October 25, 2026 | 9:00 AM–5:00 PM Instructor: Juliann Roush Fee: $175 Limited spots available Workshop includes: Coffee/tea/water and snacks provided.
