Build a Book Workshop | Pike County Public Library in Milford Friday, September 18, 2026 | 12:30-2 p.m. The Build a Book Workshop takes place at Pike County Public Library in Milford on Friday, September 18, from 12:30-2 p.m. This interactive workshop is a free event part of the Milford Readers and Writers Festival. Participants will explore the basic building blocks of a book, including titles, genres, characters, settings and conflicts. The workshop will also consider how these elements change across romance, mystery, science fiction and horror stories. Instead of writing an entire book, attendees will collaboratively develop storylines. Each person will add information to a provided booklet before passing it to the next participant. By the end, everyone will receive their original booklet filled with contributions from the group. Attendees will also be invited to share their completed stories. The Build a Book Workshop in Milford offers a creative, collaborative way for aspiring writers to explore the storytelling process.
