About this event
Dive into the wildly fun, endlessly surprising world of gelli plate printing in this beginner workshop. Across three hours, we’ll explore how to create vibrant, layered prints using acrylic paint, found textures, and everyday objects. Gelli printing is all about experimentation. Each pull from the plate reveals something new: bold colors, ghost prints, unexpected patterns, and delightful textures. Create a stack of prints perfect for collage, art journaling, card making, mixed media projects, or your own personal stash of inspiration. No prior experience is necessary—just bring your curiosity and a sense of adventure. Class registration fees include admission to the Whatcom Museum and all materials needed to create multiple botanical gelli prints. Participants will be able to take their gel plate with them to continue printing at home. Pricing: $50 for Museum Members $55 for the Public About the Instructor Lisa Dailey is a Bellingham-based mixed media artist whose work celebrates color, texture, and the intricate patterns found in nature. A dedicated teacher, Lisa leads hands-on workshops through Second Life Artistry, where she helps artists of all levels experiment fearlessly with new materials. When she’s not in the studio, you’ll find her exploring off-the-beaten-path destinations or planning her next trip back to her native Montana. Workshop registrations are final and non-refundable. If you’re unable to attend, you’re welcome to transfer your spot to someone else as long as you notify us 24 hours in advance. Please plan to arrive within 15 minutes of the start time. Late arrivals will not be admitted or refunded. The Whatcom Museum acknowledges that we gather on the traditional territory of the…
