@ What is BooPalooza / BarkPalooza? BooPalooza is a family-friendly event featuring live music, an all-ages costume parade and contest, games, activities, pumpkin decorating, face painting, and more. BarkPalooza is a dog-friendly event that coincides with BooPalooza and includes a dog costume parade. BooPalooza / BarkPalooza is attended by 3,000-4,000 people each year. Who Organizes BooPalooza / BarkPalooza? BooPalooza / BarkPalooza is a community-funded event organized by the Wicker Park Advisory Council. The event is a fundraiser for WPAC initiatives, including the summer event series. WPAC’s BooPalooza / BarkPalooza is put on in partnership with the Chicago Park District and about 50+ local businesses & Community Organizations. In addition, the event is partially funded with a Community Grant from Wicker Park Bucktown Special Service Area #33. It is a Chicago Park District Night Out in the Parks Event. Get Involved Volunteer Donate A donation of $10 per family is suggested. BarkPalooza BarkPalooza includes a dog costume parade and costume contest, and vendor activities including pup games & contests, pup lattes, training demos, obstacle course, insta-“pup-up” photo booth, and more.
