Boom Blast! (Fourche Creek cleanup at Benny Craig Park)

About this event

This event is held every second Saturday when weather permits and the creek is high enough for boats. (If unsure, text & call Brian at 501-319-4789). This activity supports the efforts by Friends of Fourche Creek, Central Arkansas Master Naturalists and Keep Little Rock Beautiful to clean out the 100 foot floating trash booms on Fourche Creek near Benny Craig Park. Kayaks and canoes are shared for participants to pull the litter collected by floating trash booms out of the otherwise beautiful Fourche Creek. If you have a kayak or canoe, bring it if you can. If there aren't enough boat seats for everyone, there's cleanup needed along the creek's shoreline and in the park. Wear shoes that can get wet. Litter grabbers and trash bags are provided. Bring your own water, snacks, etc. If you have large buckets, containers, laundry baskets to place the trash into, please bring those. Any help you can give is very much appreciated!
