About this event
Join us for an engaging evening with author Jared Lemus. Jared will be discussing his 2025 debut collection Guatemalan Rhapsody: Stories. The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette praises “whether writing about resisting the insipid pull of American culture, about displaced people running from organized crime, or about the often deep connection its people have to the natural world, Jared Lemus’s much-anticipated debut story collection, Guatemalan Rhapsody, shows readers the lives of Guatemalans in ways seldom seen before…poignant.” Jared will also talk about his upcoming novel Magic in the Land of Eternal Spring (2027) and the process of writing and publishing these works. The event is free and all are welcome. About the Author: Jared Lemus is a Guatemalan-American author and winner of the 2026 PEN America/Robert W.
