Bobby Bare Jr. (of Guided By Voices) Son of country legend, Bobby Bare, Jr. made his own mark in the '90s alternative scene fronting his band Bare Jr., and has run in circles with Uncle Tupelo and Son Volt over the years. These days while behind the scenes as a member of power pop mainstays Guided By Voices, he also fronts his own high energy project. A Grammy-nominated songwriter, Bare Jr.'s style was shaped early by family friend Shel Silverstein, and it shows --- dry humor and real heartbreak sit side by side in his writing, backed by a loud, lean electric duo.
