Multi Grammy winner Tim OBrien has an been essential part of the folk, bluegrass, and Americana scenes for the past fifty years. The multi-instrumentalist and singer songwriter first emerged in the 1980s with Bluegrass Hall of Famers Hot Rize. Kathy Mattea brought his songs Walk the Way the Wind Blows and Untold Stories to the Country top ten in the late 80s, and his songs have since been covered by artists like Alison Krauss, the Seldom Scene, Garth Brooks, and the Dixie Chicks. Tonights show, a twenty-song overview of his long career, launches the new Tim OBrien Songbook, with accompanists Shad Cobb (fiddle) and Nathaniel Smith (cello), and other special guests.
